Education and Admissions Seminar - Effective Bilingual Immersion Strategies

Q&A

1) What is the enrolment target for the academic year 2018-2019?

In 2018-2019 School Year, we are accepting applications for 1 class of Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 respectively.  There will be 15 to 20 students in each class.

2) How do you assess students?
Students’ growth and achievement are assessed through a wide variety of learning tasks as formative and summative assessment. By assessing students based on the scoped and sequenced learning objectives, it allows us to clearly communicate their strengths and goals with parents in a timely manner.  For details, please read

3) Is the medium of instruction ratio of English: Chinese (60:40) a constant split throughout primary and into secondary?
Our well balanced bilingual immersion curriculum maintains a 60:40 ratio throughout the primary school, where 60% of the curriculum time is in English, and 40% in Chinese (Putonghua).  This ratio will be different in secondary school depending on each students’ choice of subjects.

4) How do you deal with the noise issues of the construction projects?
Our architect has a strategic plan to minimize the construction noise during school hours. Heavy-duty projects would be scheduled during weekends and long school holidays.

5) How do you cater to individual learning needs?
